Coach | Doctor of Physical Therapy

My Story

In my childhood I was always an active kid, I think I played over 10 different organized sports growing up, subsequently my path to becoming a physical therapist is rather typical, as I was an injured high school athlete who attended physical therapy for rehab and was interested in athletics as well as science. It was once I was in college and beginning down the path of learning more about both physical therapy and strength & conditioning that it became more intense. I was spending time throughout undergraduate classes attending journal clubs with PTs, reading research papers, and beginning to learn as much as I could on all things related to fitness, rehab and the human body.

Throughout physical therapy school I balanced attending classes and learning that material along with doing extra reading on my own about topics that I cared about in physical therapy more than what I was learning in class. The COVID-19 pandemic occurred during my 1st year of PT school, leaving me extra time to devote to pursuing my special interests. I listened to over 800 physical therapy related podcast episodes while in school, and was lucky enough to be a part of E3 Rehab’s first mentorship cohort that allowed to me learn how to apply what I was learning with school with real-life examples given from the multiple E3 Rehab expert clinicians. Throughout schooling I was able to spend time using physical therapy with a variety of patients with orthopedic patients of all ages, being the first contact for a patient in the Emergency Department as well as working with intubated patients in the ICU. Despite all those experiences, I ended up returning to my first love after graduation, working with sports and orthopedic patients.

Why E3 Rehab?

E3 Rehab helped shape me as a student through their content and direct mentorship, guiding me into the type of clinician that I am today. I have constantly referred friends, colleagues, and patients to their content over the years. With the amount of rehab related content that I have consumed throughout the years, it is extremely challenging to find a company that provides content that is in-depth enough to be useful for clinicians, concise enough for general population patients, and extremely evidence-based. Joining E3 Rehab allows me to help be a part of a company that helped shape my career and do my part in helping transform others’ lives whether patient or clinician.

More About Me

When I am not treating patients in a clinic, I am often still being active. My home of Bozeman, Montana has excellent mountain ranges, and despite not being a skier, I often am exploring them by hiking or running. I have taken up a goal of becoming “mediocre” at as many different sports as possible and a typical week can often have me running, hiking, resistance training, bouldering, or playing pickup basketball and pickleball.
