Working with Chris for 7 months has been transformative. The ever-evolving program he’s designed for me has been approachable yet comprehensive, supported by videos and regular communication via a user-friendly coaching app. He has helped me with barbell technique, understanding how to choose and progress an appropriate load, and has made modifications when appropriate to work through joint and tendon pain without taking time off in the gym. My strength, muscle mass, stability, and overall confidence with lifting heavy have improved significantly. My tendons and ligaments are more resilient, and I no longer have chronic low back pain despite the increasing load and challenge of my program. I feel more confident and less hesitant when biking, running, moving heavy stuff, and training intensely under a barbell, thanks to Chris’s evidence-based approach, encouragement and consistent focus on my long-term bone density goals. This helps me sleep at night.
When I was told that I needed knee surgery and that rehab was not gonna do any favors, I saw my fitness life going down the drain. And after trial and error and no improvement I decided to look for the best people to help me, and that’s when I found Dr. Marc Surdyka and E3 Rehab. It took time, but with enough patience, and the right man to put me in the right direction was more than enough to put me back on the squat rack with no pain and no surgery. The best thing was that it was all online, something that I thought impossible in the past.
When I started with Tony I had been struggling with chronic leg pain and injuries for 5 years, and as a lifelong runner, I was deep in a funk.
I had been in and out of physical therapy, but my pain always returned. Tony got me back on my feet permanently both through extensive strength and agility training, and by helping me recognize my body’s limits — when to stop, and more importantly when to push harder.
Thanks to Tony, my leg hasn’t gotten in the way of my passion in over a year. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
I can’t praise Chris highly enough. I’d struggled for months with hamstring tendinopathy. Initially it made running impossible, which was tough, as I’d been an avid runner for four decades. As the condition worsened, it made even sitting in my office chair, or driving my car, a painful experience. I had multiple sessions over several months with a very good local physical therapist, with little progress. I’ll admit I was skeptical that a video consultation would produce better results. I was wrong. Chris listened carefully; asked thoughtful questions; provided a detailed description of my condition and the likely timeline for recovery; and prescribed a progressive loading regimen—accompanied by helpful videos—that produced immediate and lasting improvement. I resumed running two months ago. So far, so good. If I experience another running-related injury (which at my age is inevitable), I’d enlist Chris’s services again in a heartbeat.
